Profile: Miroslaw Ulman

Personal background
I'm from Katowice. It's a major city in the region of Silesia, in Poland (Afaik Poland lies in Europe - eastern part :)). Currently I'm 21 years old and I'm still, how should I phrase this, "unemployed". I've finished secondary technical school (with a so called specialisation of "computer system spacialist" - sounds great, but means next to nothing :)). As for my hobbies: I'm kind of computer maniac - I mostly play games. I'm also interested in all sorts of weaponry - be it a sword or a SMG, you name it - of course mainly in theoretical way (unfortunately Polish law is quite harsh, as for the "gun license"). My hobbies-list do not end on this. It also implements: modern and historical warfare, aerodynamics and flight technology, programming (a little), foreign languages (as ye can see, my english is full of bugs and mistakes - sorry for that), electronics, FantasyRPG and so on...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What do I think of extraterrestial life? I'm pretty sure, that it exists somewhere out there - world is simply too big for only one life form. Of course it doesn't mean it is intelligent. It could be anything from a small bacteria to a large "blob" of organic material. Even if the intelligent life form exists somewhere in space, I can't imagine what will happen if we find it (I bet the US Army will send a marine contingent to deal with'em ;)).
What do I think of SETI? It's a good idea. I joined it, because I always wanted to be a part of a large scientific experiment. I would be proud of meself, even if we do not find any signals from beyond.
And that's all. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes. Though I was trying to make myself clear and understandable, my writings could be gibberish to someone better acquainted with english language. For that - I apologise.
