Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run SETI@home for a few reasons. I've been doing it for years really - it's great to feel a part of something huge, and at the time it was revolutionary with it's vision of a global computing grid. That and I'm a geek, and alien life is clearly cool.
2. Really quite remarkable - something that we'll no doubt benefit from in the future.
3. Some more press / pizzaz around what's been accomplished 10 years on!
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
