Personal background
My name is Jarryd Sullivan, i'm a 19 year old (in a few months that is) that is in love with computing and sciences, i love astrophotography (although i don't have the money for my own gear at the moment, would love to learn how to actually use some gear myself, if anyone from the Darwin area feels up to teaching. :P)

Obviously i live in Darwin, Northern Territory which is in Australia. Top of australia, very hot but nice weather. I currently am studying at Tafe, doing my Certificate III in IT, which is basically the requirements of knowledge to sit my CCNA and A+ Certification exams. Crunching at SETI has only just started seriously for me recently and i plan to continue to work on it, i've always been passionate about space and what's out there. I love learning and consider myself quite knowledgeable for my age compared to some people i know. :P

I usually learn and pick up things pretty quickly, if you want to know any more just send me a message!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run S@H because of a lot of reasons, i love seeing how much i can get out of my system for one. The main reason i run S@H though is because of my fascination about space and other living creatures out there. I guess i'm interested in learning a lot about astrophysics and astrophotography, i love astronomy and i love researching. Although i'm not sorting through the data myself, i still feel that i'm a part of a research team which is a great feeling to do for something i love so much.

My views about the project obviously are reflected upon why i do it, i love the project and sure it has its bumps and bruises here and there, but its a great community and the project itself is for an excellent cause and opportunity to study something we know very little about.

Suggestions i have would be maybe making some kind of data available that the users (us) that are crunching are able to study, so we can learn from it more. Maybe learn what we're looking at in the sky, learn more about a particular work unit and what it found. I like the NTPChkr, shame there hasn't been any updated candidates recently. That's the type of stuff i like though, reading technical and scientific information to learn from what i'm actually doing. Maybe making a way to enhance this and make it a little more understandable for people knew to it. :)
