I teach UNIX and Linux at a local community college, and took a course in astronomy this summer. The professor told us about this effort and I wanted to make it work.
To my chagrin, BOINC locks up my Debian (32bit & 64bit) and Solaris (64bit only) machines but works fine in Windows XP (32bit and 64bit) operating systems.
