Hi, my name is Chris. I am 23 and I have lived in Louisville, Kentucky all my life. I operate an internet tee shirt store called Bluegrass Apparels (www.bluegrassapparels.spreadshirt.com) and my main and at the moment only hobby is radio communications. I have had an interest in radio since I was a kid and I took my first step into the world of radio at age 9 when my mom bought me my first CB radio and then about a year later I got my first radio scanner (loved hearing those fire calls) and at 16 got my first shortwave radio.
Then in 2006 I finally realized a dream I have had since I was 11 (NO not my dream of becoming an Astronaut) after 5 years of study I got my ham radio license (it does not normally take that long, I am just a slow learner).
Today, I am vary active in the local ham radio community, I am the president of the Derby City Radioactives, a local radio club and I also do volunteer work with several emergency communications organizations such as the Amateur Radio Emergency Service ARES, Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service RACES, Radio Emergency Associated Communications Teams REACT, as well as the National Weather Services severe storm spotter program, SKYWARN.I really enjoy putting my skills and equipment to good use to serve the community in times of emergency.
In addition to ham radio I am still active on CB as well as an avid scanner listener.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because I believe that there is other life in the universe and I want to play an active role in the search for it.
I think the SETI@home project is a vary well thought-out and designed program that will save countless man hours breaking down and analyzing signal data. |
