I am a 44 year old backyard inventor and part time scientist.
Living in the bush about a half hours drive from Kamloops B.C. I have fabulous nature all around. My favorite things is going out in the morning with my dog George and smelling the incredibly clean air and listening to the woodpeckers.
I am currently unemployed (may 08) due to a nasty disability but I'm trying to find some way to earn a living. Anyone need autocad drawings done?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I was involved with SETI and the project a long time ago when a P-166 was a fast computer. Now I have a much better system and I want to offer some of the time I don't use for a good cause. I fully believe that there are things in the universe that we simply cannot comprehend or accept. I believe that life does not have to be carbon based and with the complexity of the one little galaxy we live in, I have a really hard time believing that we are "it".
I would like the folks that are doing the universal planetary research to know that if they get into BOINC, I'll volunteer my system. It's not much in the grand scheme of things but It should help.
