Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run it because I think it is very interesting to know if we're alone
2. I think it will be very difficult to prove if any life exits. It should exist, because the universe is so massively big, there has to be life. But what do we do if we find it? Haven't we found it already? Who knows. Maybe we already found life out there, only no one has told us. That is the ambiguity for me in this research. What do governments think of these studies? What will they do with the numbers we've crunched? What numbers are we crunching? Who knows, maybe we crunch data that was gathered to spy on people? In stead of listening for aliens?
3. Try and communicate some of the results. Maybe intresting for me to know what i've researched, with my pc... what does the data mean?
