Personal background
Hi! My name is Rob Eggenberger. I'm originally from the US and now live in Vejle, with my Danish wife and our three year old son. If any team members wish to contact me, feel free. I'd like to chat about SETI and anything else. I have a great love of history, especially European history from the Roman Empire through the Middle Ages.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I join SETI back in the "Classic" era, but soon left the project due to the time cost of internet usage back then. Now with High Speed Broadband, I have SETI running a goodly portion of the time.

My only suggestion is I wish more info was available on where things are going with SETI. A bi-monthly newsletter would be nice. Trying to weed out info in the forums is very frustrating. But, I know the powers that be are trying.

I have no doubt we'll find something out their. But with the vastness of space, I'm afraid that if we do make first contact it may be with a civilization in it's final years. But you never know. Because, I believe we have already been contacted, and knowledge of this has been suppressed due to the problems this would cause worldwide. Humanity I believe can't yet handle that truth, given the backward thinking religions that still dominate our society.
