| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

i run seti@home for a few reasons,
1) my computers always on, might as well do something with it,
2) while i have a better chance at being hit by lightning, it's still fun to dream isen't it?
it would be amazeing if someone found something... to think that we are the only ones out there, is pure ignorance.. or, we could simply be a complete accedent, who knows, though seti does make one think.
and as for suggestions, make a better installer for the ubuntu package, personally i like the seti@home screensaver, at a glance i can tell what my system is doing, also seti@home and bionic don't free up cpu time when the computer is being used in the linux version, this is rather upsetting to have to go to the bionic menu's and pause the project each time i want my system to run faster, mebbie a fix is in order? o.o |
