Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The more difficult you make it to access a project the less people will be interested in helping the SETI.
Pain in the arse to configure. I had an account with 18,000 hours of work on one of the earliest versions. Since I did not know the account or password I lost those credits. Ever since then I haven't really been interested in processing the data.
Keep SETI SETI specifically when getting SW from the SETI site.
I am not willing to put an enormous amount of time in configuring something that is only interesting.
It is connecting but getting
