| My name is Matthew I live in a small town outside of Kansas City Missouri and I spend what little "free" time I have watching, what my son refers to as Dork T.V.(i.e. Discovery, History, Science chanels). I am a 38 yr old construction worker/single parent with a college degree and I have always felt I wasn't living up to my educational potential; SETI@home gives me a sence of contribution that I don't get from my work. |

| I have been involved with SETI@Home before and I have just been waiting for a chance to get re-involved. Now that my son is curious enough about the world and our place in it, I thought this would be a great way to show him how he can be in volved in a global project on a personal level. Also showing him that our place in the universe isn't as dominant as he would be led to believe by our school systems and out religious beliefs. Our dominance is limited to our little planet. |
