Profile: rsullins

Personal background
My career lies in helping to educate others so that they can improve their lot in life, and I have done that for nearly 20 years now in North Carolina's community college system. To me, there is no greater calling than to help provide a fellow traveler on this planet with the tools essential for self-improvement.

My great passion in life is writing, particularly in a journal that I am preparing for my children. I have had several pieces published as short stories in the adventure genre.

Family, friends, and my relationship with the Creator are the things that I find most worthwhile in this life.

SETI@home is something that I can do to increase the span of human knowledge of the universe. Given that there are millions of stars in each galaxy, and more galaxies to count than we can number, the odds that we are alone in this universe would be too small to calculate. If we are so self-involved to believe that this planet is the only place where intelligent life has developed, then we condemn ourselves as members of the 21st Century version of the Flat Earth Society.
