| Well, I`m hoping to get some kind of answer before I depart this mortal existence. I`m 44 and from West London. All my friends think I'm crack and cant get my view or ideas. I gave up smoking if it gives me 2 more years, which may prove just the extra time I need to find out...the answer! |

I run SETI on the basis that every little helps. You could say what use would an hours pay do to help relieve poverty in Africa, but a million peoples hourly pay would go a long way.
Perhaps its ambitious to expect to hear something within 20 years, given we not only need to identify the exact spot a signal is coming from, but also, the exact time it is received. Each "spot" may only be active for a miniscule period in time.
Only a continuous swoop on every point in space over exceptionally long time periods will prove one way or another.
But theres always the remote possibility......! |
