Personal background
I'm an Ex forces Telecommunications Specialist. Now working with a 3G Backhaul system in the form of Point to Multipoint Radio Networks around the world.

I'm a Technology enthusiast and love tinkering with Computers and have a spare room like a Test Lab.

I'm a volunteer in several subjects at www.allexperts.com giving free advice to those less knowledgeable.

Out of need, I learned to use Linux. I now prefer it to Microsoft.

I also enjoy Walking, Reading and Sports. My current pass time is learning Python, JAVA and C++. If that means nothing to you then so would the explanation so I won't bother.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I must be honest, the whole concept of combined Processor power over the Internet is pretty interesting which ever way you look at it!

Remaining with the Honest theme, I didn't fully investigate the Project prior to joining.

I did look into the scanning of space for intelligence. I strongly believe in the theory that there must be others. To be surrounded by such wonder on one planet makes the likelihood of being alone in the universe extremely small!

I'll keep looking into it and reading up more on the site (Between programming and tinkering) and let you know if I have any suggestions.
