Hi i'm a uni Student doing my undergrad work towards a degree in IT. am working towards doing a post grad work in astrophysics and astronomy. I am building my own little radio telescope as well as building myself a sidewalk telescope(Dobsonian), I also dabble in electronics and playing with all sorts of technology. I also have had a bit of a play with clock making and found it interesting. I am currently unemployed and am trying to find work to help support my wife and 3 year old daughter. Anyone got some work? lol am wanting to build an off grid server farm in my shed and have it solar powered so not to rise my power bills.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
my life if based around science and i love contributing my time and infrastructure to help out. I would love to see if we could also utilize all these handheld devices that we carry around with us. some use of mobile devices ie Iphones and android devices alike could do some small amounts of processing, yes I know they are not as fast and will drain the battery more but even using some sort of app to do something.
