Personal background
Dude, no one's going to read this, there's too many profiles. I am a 17 year old High School student. I play Varsity Football. and I'm very interested in exploring the stars and I do what I can to help those who know what they're doing. I am fully aware of the stories of aliens and their suposed involvment in our history. Not that I belive any of it, but consider the depth of it if it were just a big lie. I think of how the lies of Adolf Hitler drew the masses of Germany to join the Nazi party, and I am fully aware of how the masses of people will fall into the spell of a big lie rather than a small one. On the other hand I belive that just because you can't prove the existance of extraterrestrials is not proff that they don't exist. That's why I support this program. I will continue to say that we are not alone because in the vastness of space I belive it is impossible for a planet to be habitable by us. And even if we could'nt survive there, something could. Science has learned a lot of the strength and flexability of life and its ability to survive the most extereme conditions. It surprises me that we haven't found anything. Personally I think it's just a long streak of bad luck and we will find intelligent life close by in my lifetime. becase truth be told, there could be millions of cilvilizations out there, unfortunatlly if they're as far away as across the galaxy we can forget about it unless we discover that modern physics is wrong and matter can travel faster than light. I consider myself a scientists by my midset that everything needs proof. But I listen to theories, and I still keep them in my thoughts but no one fully accepts it untill it is proven with concrete undisputable evidence. I don't think the government is holding information. And I don't belive that we are being visited by flying saucers, I don't belive in roswell or anyone in the midwest ho claims they were abducted. All the sightings have been near Air Force bases where tests were clearly being caried out on new aircraft. I am interested in talking about theories and having intelligent conversations with any one that wants to listen, unfortunatly no one in my family or any of my close friends can keep up with me and the conversation usually ends with them saying "I'm not the one to be talking to about that." So please, send me an email if you are in a simaler situation --> (timbauersolo@optonline.net)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I fell confident that if intelligent life is found it won't be by SETI. However if it wasn't for SETI, people might lose interest, and if a message was sent SETI would hear it. I hope that intelligent life is found even if it's another species here on earth. some one we can talk to and not feel so alone in the unverse. Everyday I feel insecure thinking; what if we are alone? Shouldn't we be taking better care of ourselves? Any way, this program helps find some one that can help us.
Consider this; what if intelligent life is doing exactly what we are doing, listening. What if every civilization is just listening and no one is talking. We need to take charge and send our own messages as well as listen to the messages of other civilizations. I know that the hydrogen frequency is the quitest in the universe and any civilization would know that. But what if they do know that and they're doing exactly what we're doing: just listening on a silent frequency. It doesn't make sense to me. And what if they don't realize that the hydrogen fequency is the most efficiant; we should listen to all frequencies. And we should be listening to them from a spacecraft that is far from the inerference of the earth and sun, maybe orbiting the moon or stationed somewhere.
Please, for the sake of doing it, send some kind of message and see if there's a response. Because it may be that no one is taking that first step to send a message, so we need to do it.
