Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@HOME because I'm curious as to what's out there. And I get a sense of satisfaction in knowing that I'm helping the search in some small way.
I think there has to be life out there somewhere. In what form, I have no idea. I think this project helps fulfil our most human desires to search the unknown and to seek companionship.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
