| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1) Yes;no;we can't handle our own planet, what makes us think we can handle another one. Perhaps they might be able to knock some sense into us though.
2) Yes. We need all the help we can get, so send only the non-controversial topics we have learned about, such as math, science, and other absolutes. And of course we have to impress them, the source code for the rapture engine *grin*
3)I run it because I want something productive to do with my wasted CPU power. I am on my computer alot, but I almost never use it to it's potential, so I figured this was a worthwhile task. I think the project is great, and I really am impressed with the scale it has reached. |
