I'm an analytical chemist by trade but astronomy is my first love. I'm also a certified computer tech and run a small network at home. I participated in Seti@Home in it's begining days and fell away from it as I changed systems over the years. My the project has grown. It's good to be back and I'm glad I can help.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Are we alone is one of the oldest questions there is. Although I am not skeptical that intelligent life exists elsewhere, I'm very skeptical that a signal from such a civilization will ever be detected. But, that doesn't mean we shouldn't listen.
