Personal background
I'm a student trying to decide whether to study the sciences or arts... torn between both, really.

I'm an avid writer, book nerd, a huge fan of Douglas Adams, an obsessive photographer, an equally huge fan of Radiohead, interested in science (though can't quite get my brain to stay focused on the math...) music addict, animal lover, amateur (and so far, not too great) filmmaker, and, overall quite a complicated person and can't really sum myself up in a sentence... except for the fact that I almost did in the previous one.

also, I'm up too late... must sleep. good luck, SETI.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've decided to run SETI@home because I'm both confident that there is a high chance that there is other life in the universe (given the vast size and complexity of it, and the fact that life even developed on the Earth itself) and desperately hoping that we may be able to learn more about the nature and contents of the universe within my lifetime. I think it's an amazing project, and deserves all the help it can get.

Also, being a human, it is easy to feel tremendously small and lonely even in this galaxy...
