on one hand, this is a drop-in-the-bucket project.
the chances of "verily" proving evidence of e.t life is too far removed from we the volunteers of this project.
we are far from the source.
If I or anyone else actually notices an anomally it would be reported to someone we don't see, or hear in an administrative role somewhere.
with that notion- a notion that someone else has a greater authority than I or we, the volunteers, to say "it is significant" (when it really is, or really isn't) or "what you found is not significant" (when it really is, or really isn't)- how much qualitative manpower does a project like this think it is harnessing when there are so many degrees of seperation from the "Source".
When a scientist with a bunch of letters after his/her name can simply "suggest" away our findings and subsequently remove ALL credibility from a finding?
After all, this is just 0's and 1's. Digitization. How accountable is digitization from a heart to heart between two people with the warm glow of a camp fire or hearth with Home Cooked Stew on it?
Finding REAL E.T. life will only come from what we cannot perceive with our God-given 5 senses.
The very core of communication is spoken in "tongues". That is, learning how to say more with what you DON'T say than with what we DO say.
It is the essence of all movements of mankind- touching on priciples of Belief.
Hell, have you ever considered the massive movement of Alcoholics ANONYMOUS.
Yes, anonymity. Do you know how many shattered lives anonymity has traversed where mans previous proofs, theorems, and algorithms had never a place? Nor will they.
"When the student is ready, the teacher will appear."
So too will Alien life, but are we ready?
