Personal background
Hi
I am an oyster and mussel farmer on the shores of the Menai Strait, Wales. My office has views of Caernarfon castle and Snowdonia. Working on a beach means you are envied in the summer, but funnily enough not in the winter. I am a marine biologist too.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why run it?

The universe is so vast and old that to assume that the earth is the only planet to harbour intelligent life would be such a waste of space. Its rather like building a planet then putting life on a grain of sand and nowhere else. Unfortunately this vastness means that we could hunt for millions of years and hear nothing. After all our own signals have probably only travelled a mere 80 or so light years. But since when has that stopped us hoping/dreaming we are not alone (just look at all the tv shows and films). Hence i will put my computer to finding intelligence, as it has yet to do so!!

"Give me liquid water and a place to put it, and i will give you life" GOD

My Views on the project

Cool and maybe my computer will be the one that 'hears' intelligence.
