Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
i have always been a fan of the search, but untill recently my PC was still running a 100mhz CPU clock so now with the big increase i was able to help out :)
my views on the project are mixed, i feel that its only a matter of time before other life in the universe is discovered, the odds that its got atleast one other civilisation out their are to strong. but i do think that radio waves may not be th ebest method of communication, and that its only a small chance that we will find others out their through it, however although its a small chance i still hope that its the right move.
communication technology has to be developed, more faster advanced methods woudl help the search, along with a PROCESSING capacity upgrade, but as with everything this would cost money :(
