Hello, everyone. Suffice it to say, I did not stumble upon the SETI@home program through the school, but it wasn't hard to figure out that this school was a part of the program.

I have always been interested in the stars and what's out there. I attempted a CSE minor, but I can't program for beans. I still love dealing with hardware. Check the info link to find out more. I'm involved in too much to put in a box this size.

Computer currently operating BOINC:

AMD64 2.4 GHz 4000+, 1 GB PC-3200 DDR SDRAM, 2000 MHz HT
P4 3.0 GHz 530 w/HT, 1 GB PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM, 800 MHz FSB
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Does extraterrestrial life exist?
-> Let's think about this logically. There are three hundred billion stars in our own galaxy. There are roughly 150,000 galaxies discovered in our known universe. I'd say the chance is pretty good, even if we don't communicate with them.

When will it be discovered?
-> Time and technology are the factors.

How will it be discovered?
-> This program, probably, but who knows?

My views on the project?
-> Keep it up!

Why do I run SETI@home?
-> You don't need a reason to help.
