Profile: Louis C. LaCour, Jr.

Personal background
Lifelong resident of the "Big Easy" (that's New Orleans for those who haven't ventured south of the Mason-Dixon line in a while). When I'm not squeezing my PC to pin down ET, I practice law.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
"How could E.L. not exist", is a better question to me. If we assume the universe to indeed be infinite, then there are infinite "earths", etc. Of course, we may be so far down the evolutionary scale that our search for ET may be woefully pathetic. If we were to ever discover a real ET, many would completely freak out. A friend of mine told me this is all a waste of time because the Bible makes no allowance for life outside the Earth, and, as far as she's concerned, that settles the question. (We disagree on most things, BTW).
