I've been reading SF for as long as I can remember. I just want some of it to be true - the world sometimes seems just a little too mundane to be real.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
For some reason I don't seem to be able to believe in the existance of et's... without some sort of proof. This seems like the best way to work towards that proof. Unless anyone actually knows an alien that might consider a stop in my back yard?

I also find the distributed computing aspect of this endeavour interesting. I find it amusing that it is possible that the greatest scientific discovery of the century could be achieved by almost anyone's home computer...
