Have always been active in the Scientific world. But Never in quite this way...
After consulting with a few friends, We decided to have a Super Processor built for use on this system .
Our plan is this....
A Local computer shop is Building 5 really nice Dualcore
systems for us, that will have :
2 gigs of ram
Dualcore Processors ( AMD)
and a 200 Gig HD
and a 25 Gig HD
Custom Liquid Coolong With External Coolers
Really Cool alienware cases
The Plan is to set these up on a router and Dedicate Full resources of all these to SETI@home
We plan to add at least One Additional System Every 4 months after that
For Every 3 Systems, There will be a Separate Broadband Internet connection and modem and router.
We are really interested in this project, and would like to be very involved.
I Must admit, My Technical Knowledge is limited, but I Have been studying the seti project for a few weeks now, and I am getting myself up to date.
We realize that SETI is a a Long way from The Musical Instrument business....
But I think the two share one Philosophy that applies to all things...
Wether it is Learning to play Guitar pr Piano...Or wether it is Putting on a Concert for thousands...Or serching for some otherworldly inelligence...
