Profile: Mad Mart

Personal background
Born in Bromsgrove England in 1956. I now work for a Multimedia IT company [ITM Group Ltd]in Amersham. I'm employed as a Technical Support Consultant, working primarily with IBM iSeries Systems. I began computing in the 70's on a humble Sinclair Zx80 kindly donated by Clive Sinclair himself for evaluation purposes. My only exposure to computers previously was whilst attending a BASIC programming course using a teltype terminal attached to a mainframe somewhere in deepest Birmingham. I was employed at the time as a radio and t.v mechanic enjoying learning a trade. I qualified as an eletronics engineer and electrician through to the eighties, on the computing front Apple, Sinclair and Atari all passed through my hands, not touching an IBM Pc until the late 80's when I began my own company installing Multi-satellite equipment. After being dragged down by a bad business partner I joined a mid-range computer maintainer Decision data in Sunbury. I progressed through the ranks to become a member of the International and Uk Technical Support Team. The company changed it's name from DD to Decision Systems and finally to TOTALe. When the company folded 3 years ago I joined my present comany.
