Personal background |
I'm a 23 year old programmer from Indiana. I enjoy logic, sci-fi, politics, arguing, body modification, and quantum physics. I am by no means an actual physicist, but I do sort of understand what is happening, but really enjoy the cutting edge of what is happening. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. I run SETI@home because I am an optimist and believe we will find something in our lifetimes. I by no means sit at my computer watching signals thinking that each one is contact, but I feel that I have a long ways to go (hopefully) and that sometime we might actually get off this chunk of matter and maybe go looking for something more.
2. I feel SETI@home is a worthwhile venture. At the very list is pushes the limits of programming and using the Internet and has obviously helped other projects that have more short term goals get off the ground and find solutions.
3. I've followed my suggestions for 23 years and it hasn't gotten me far. Sorry. |
