Hi I'm Noel I originally come from Dublin, Ireland but have lived in the UK since the early 70's. I now live & work in London in IT. Like most people I enjoy a good laugh & being Irish I like a good drink.
I enjoy Astronomy although there are areas (like most of it) that are beyond me. Would love to take that another step forward. I'm a keen Field Target shooter.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
First of all I'd like to thank SETI for giving people like me the chance to help. It's sad that more people don't.
I believe that there is life out there. However in what form it will be in is another question. It could be humanoid or algae.
Should we send out a beacon? YES. However I'd use it to warn them as well that yes we are to some degree intelligent but we are a warring people & it might take another million years before we sort ourselves out. I also think man kind needs to get itself off of Mother Earth. If we don't humankind will become extinct.
