Personal background
I'm an age 50+ kid still fascinated by everything science - Jack of all trades, Master of none. I particularly like Astronomy, phsysics, astrophysics, and nature in general. Struggling to get back on my feet again after heart surgery and depression, the Internet has given me a way to satisfy my need for knowlege and intelligent interaction. The Universe Today and Bad Astronomy forums are providing a very special brand of therapy for me. And I am thrilled to be involved with something that just might make a difference like SetiAtHome.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What could have more potential impact on the whole of human life than the search for extraterrestrial life?! We might just get lucky. Like the lottery folks have been saying, "Hey, you never know!" It's a gamble, but what will we have lost in the worst case scenario? Some computing time.
