Personal background
Born in 1971, I started thinking I didn't acutally belong in this world when I was around 7 years old. At around 11, after all those math classes, I realized that the probability of existing other inteligent life out in the universe was too great to be ignored. Now I'm 33 years old and do think I belong here and love this world. I've played with computers since I was 9 and started working with them at 15. Founded my computer services company in 1996 - Smart Developments Ltd. (SDEV).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
If it exists? Of course it exists. The possibilities are endless. I think the search for extraterrestrial life is actually a search for all the answers that we don't have about our existence. Why are we here? What is our part all this? Is there a God? Where and how did it all start? And so many others. Maybe other civilizations out there can help us with shortcuts to these answers. Life is too short! I think the SETI project is something out of an Isaac Asimov book. It gives me goosebumps to think of all this computing power. Let's use it for the good of mankind!
