Age and Occupation are irrelevant when it cames to the search for other life in this vast and wonderful universe we reside in. hobbies seeem silly when the quest for life outside our own pigeonholed world would bring a wide range of new and undiscovered possiblilties.
but seriously folks I'm just a man who wants to see the naysayers proven wrong after hearing that we are the only intelligent beings in the billions and billions miles of space (thanks Carl).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is an extraordinary attempt to bring the vastness of our universe to scale. we need to discover soon that there is other life out there so we as a global race can together greet this new era of thought that would stretch beyond your own backyards to incompass more free ideas than the bickering about lines in the sand. WE can either unite together to view the unknown or cower from the possible troubles of our own lives and live in fear of the fact that we are not alone.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
