Born 1949; Vietnam Theatre Veteran; ex-USN enlisted. -- Living in Austin, Texas. Worked 4 years as Network Administrator/ Help Desk/ EMail Administrator/ Computer Tech for a small "non-profit" Texas Charter School called American Youthworks. -- I graduated from high school in Austin in 1967 and did 1 year at the UT in 1969 before I went back on Navy active duty in 1970. -- There is a more philosophically based bio of me at http://www.geocities.com/jimb09/ in addition to the personal pages I have at http://jimbo9.com - I'm not going to have room to put it all in here. -- I dabble in art, writing, computer role-playing games, electronics, and metaphysics. I maintain the web pages at http://brassringbooks.com and http://fioc.org I feel like every thing I have done in the past 50 years has prepared me for everything in the next 50 years.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I believe extraterrestrial life exists. I believe we will discover it exactly the way we expect to discover it and also in ways we didn't expect to discover it at all.

I also believe these discoveries will have a role in the complete alteration of our perception of time, physical reality and cause & effect. We are dawning on a new shift in the consciousness of the Human race.

I think SETI and SETI@home are extremely worthy projects and it thrills me to be a part of this effort. My suggestion? "Keep on Truckin'."
