In my family, it is tradition that the first-born male is given his father's first name, his mother's maiden name, and his father's surname. Because my father and mother were cousins, my full name is Rudy Toody Toody.
I have a twin sister, Trudy Toody. We are easy to tell apart. She's the one with more hair in her ears.
When Trudy got married she hyphenated her last name with her husband's last name. She is now Trudy Toody-Toody.
