Profile: Thanatos

Personal background
I'm from Belgium, my occupations are mainly doing stuff for the local youth movement, I'm also fascinated by nature and environment, as our youth movement protects both. I also do some programming (PHP & MySQL) to create some websites.

I'm 17 years old, studying latin and greek at secondary school, last year! :-)
Next year I'm going to study Germanic languages at the university of Ghent, and I hope to work for radio or tv after those studies...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.: Yes, if there are so many planets and galaxies, why would we be the one and only life form around? We will discover them (if outside our galaxy) when we can travel faster than light. Benefits: maybe they could bring us things to solve our _big_ problems on earth... Maybe they'll declare war to us (sounds a little science fiction, but it's not unlikely, I guess), there are many other possibilities. Maybe they're just a perfect clone of everyone on earth here. Who knows.

2.: Send some heavy metal :)

3.: Because my computer is on anyway, it could as well do something 'useful', instead of being just 'on'. Suggestions: well, some more software updates with nifty features would be welcome. I love updates :-)
