Profile: Steve Richmond

Personal background
HI there

I\\'m Steve a thirty something from the South West of England. I am a partner in glazing business and enjoy my work, I enjoy my play more but then don\\'t we all? Hobbies mmmm tough one, well after a stressful week there\\'s nothing better than blasting some clay pigeons to smithereens, when I hit them. I enjoy reading and will read pretty much any thing, not a fan of autobiographies though. I enjoy the outdoors, PC and Xbox, films and television, food and drink. I pray that I\\'ll never win the Lottery as I sure I\\'d be 25 stone in no time with a pickled liver!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run SETI@home because I believe one day we will find another form of intelligent life in the universe. It would seem improbable that for all the multi-million stars out there ours is the only one to contain an inhabited planet?
2. I have run the project on and off since 1999 and can remember leaving my computer on for days at a time just to complete one result. Fortunately things have moved on and on average I can complete around 7 results in 24hrs. I would like to congratulate all those involved in the project for having the belief to continue and constantly developing the site and software.
3. Suggestions? How do you top perfection...no seriously, the site has covered any queries that I\\'ve had and the information available is staggering. The only suggestion....please guys and girls...don\\'t ever stop.
