Profile: Daniel DeCost

Personal background
I've been a SETI@Home member since 1998 as (Segnis@yahoo.com). However, I haven't been able to log in to my old account since my email account ate my user information for BOINC. So, I had to create a new one on a more reliable email service.

So here I am, ready to go and do more workunits!

At one point when I was a SETI@Home classic user, I had four PC's (Linux and Windows) and three Mac's (OS9) all processing data. I don't know how productive that was, but it seems BOINC is a little more organized to that sort of thing. Anxious to get my new equipment online for compiling data.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the SETI project is working towards one of the most important scientific and cultural discoveries in all of mankind. There is so much mystery and wonder about our own universe, and SETI is just another way of exploring it.
