Personal background
I'm a 24 year old lad from Birmingham England. I love just about all subjects and all sports (mostly, I did say 'just about'...meaning I don't like cricket). I love reading all kinds of books, but love science fiction the most. I write stories (mostly science fiction) and depending on feedback from all sorts of people I hope to get them published in the future. I play games way too often, but don't let them lower my I.Q by not learning when I'm NOT playing;)I find the whole subject of space exploration facinating and have spent many conversations talking with my family about all sorts of related things. With three brothers and a Mother and Father there are many different opinions, so being closed minded is pretty impossible.
I'm a friendly person who gets along with just about everyone (including people I don't like-why I do that I have no idea) but there are certain things that irritate me. While it isn't fair to judge people(and I rarely do that sort of thing), it annoys me when people don't know the most obvious things about our universe. How can a person not want to understand more about the world. I will never understand someone who doesn't think about more than just the life they have and consider the entire idea of existence.
Perhaps that's not the sort of thing most people put in a 'profile', but why be the same as everybody else when everybody is unique anyway! I'm yet to do something that I consider 'something I've always wanted to do', meaning I haven't published a book, created a computer game or become involved in something scientific. The SETI screensaver is only a tiny step in that direction. I've written stories and created computer games, although so far I'm yet to take things to the next level and have people experience the things I've created(and I'm not talking about the next Lord of the Rings or Gran Turismo). I've played football a lot over the last few years but am becoming increasingly unhappy with the people who try to be like famous football players i.e.all the attitude, but not the money. I don't like the idea of hurting somebody in sport, it's for fun and exercise.
I consider myself a happy person-you wouldn't think so from this profile;) but I always look on the 'bright side of life'. Yet to meet a girl who sees things my way(and I'm not into guys, lol). I love my family and have very few great friends but trust them all as much as I trust myself and know I can depend on them as much as my own family.
