I`m a student in PWSZ in Pila, Poland. I`m 19 years old and i currently live in a dormitory in Pila. I have a 24/7 access to the internet so i thought i could join seti.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that if other extraterrestrial life exists and if it is technologically advanced as us then SETI is probably a good way to find them. But if they are more advanced than we are this probably will nut succed. We should emmit a signal for others to find us. maybe their way of serching the 'sky' is more evolved than seti so it would take less time for them to find us than for us to find them. The signal that we can send should not transport any information, it just have to be uniqe like none other possible found in the universe. Like a strong light in the dark.
I don`t know what would be the benefits of such a discovery. It might be very dangerous but that is the way to evolve. We definitely should take actions like continuating SETI or even something more.
