This is Izzy checking in...
I'm 32 and live in Birmingham ( city of Birth ) - United Kingdom. I work within the heritage sector (Museums and archives ) in an outreach capacity; enjoy it immensely!
Hobbies include sport - football ( soccer ), badminton, keep fit, socialising and meeting friends ( can't get enough of it )...and of course, astronomy, cosmology and science-fiction...though I'm definitely not a geek!
Have a degree in Visual Arts and international politics/relations...and a Masters in Museum Studies...glad to be finnished with studies ( was student for nine years! )

I'm running SETI@home because I've had a fascination with astronomy and cosmolgy from the age of 9. Feels right to get involved and make a contribution...
The project is unique awesome - it gives ordinary folk the chance to contribute to an innovative idea and goal; it is appropriately democratic...
It is a community - it appears - founded on the best ideals...and has the capacity to bring together humanity...its implications are profound...
Love what SETI is about - have been meaning to do this for a while!...Finally...
