Personal background |
Hi, i started my working life as an apprentice with Rolls Royce aero engine division at Ansty near Coventry. In 1981 i decided to look for a new life in South Africa and started work with Atlas Aircraft Corporation, i left them in 1986 to work for a mining firm as an inspector, and over several years i swapped and changed careers to eventually turn full circle and start back at Atlas Aircraft in 2001. The company merged with a french company in August 2002 and became Turbomeca Africa where i stayed until November 2005, at this point i decided to return home, so here i am back in the U.K. i got involved with S.E.T.I. in 2005 whilst living in South Africa (just after i bought my p.c.) So i have just started up again now i have settled here. I would like to say a big hello to everyone on the team and thank them for having me, i hope i can play my part in making the team a huge success! |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I run SETI@home because i do believe there are other beings out there in the universe (don't you?), i mean come on now, we would have to be pretty darn stupid, full of self importance, and naive not to! So this is a good medium to start with to prove that theory, hell what are you going to do when we make contact................... |
