Well life changes on you sometimes, instead of going to UC Santa Cruz I was offered a very nice spot at UCLA so I accepted them :) I'm proud to be attending such a prestigious school with so many big names. I have Junior status here and I started off already in upper division classes, that difficulty is compounded with this being my first exposure to the quarter system. It won't be long before I get to actually say I'm a true astronomer and I'm very excited.
I still haven't learned to play the guitar but I keep getting a step further each break I get from classes here. :D
And did I mention I hope one day to work for NASA :) I'm not going to lose the drive for this goal.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home to make use of my computer's idle time doing something that personally I would not mind getting involved with after getting a degree. That big black inky thing called the night sky is filled with much more than just us. I hope that this project can help bring ordinary people into the world of science.
