From a secret location somewhere along the banks of the Dee Estuary...
Hi guys! Glad to see so many people participating in such a worthwhile project. For those who are interested I'm a 30-something retail store manager, originally from Scotland but now living in Wales with my awesome wife. In my spare time I am a keen photographer, shooting exclusively on film which I develop at home. I have little else of interest to offer about my personal life, so I'll spare you the boredom! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Why do I run SETI@home? Primarily because I am frequently transporting large quantities of data both up and downstream overnight, so I figure while it's sitting there watching data flow back and forth my CPU may as well be doing something useful.
My views on the project? Well, if the governments of the world want to continue arguing and waging war over the cost of oil instead of looking at far more fundamentally important issues then I guess it's up to Joe Public to make up for their lack of funding!
