Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The most amazing thing that I have experienced so far was seeing the Aurora Borealis. I watched it from a hillside for hours one cold November night in the highlands of Scotland. Words can't capture it, it's an insane, gargantuan dancing light show of gorgeousness and gorgeosity and loveliness all rolled into one. SETI and the search for knowledge is like that moment. Seeing the Aurora and the slow dawning as your mind scrabbles to comprehend the sheer scale of what you are looking at, but multiplied a thousandfold. Oh the possibilities...
