Profile: Layth Barzangi

Personal background
Hey there!

I am an Iraqi expatriate living and working in Dubai, UAE. Born in Baghdad in 1970.

I hold a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Baghdad. Professionally, I have been involved in the digital media industry since the late 80's (it evolved from a computers hobby).

My interests inculde (in addition to the obvious astronomy and space exploration), film, music, science and tech, motoring, photography, traveling, philosophy, and history.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home? Well, because I firmly believe that given the size of our universe, it is ridiculously unlikely that we are the only intelligent life-form that exists. We just need to make Contact.
