I'm from the netherlands, i work for the ICT department of a Clinical Laboratory for blood, unrine and faeces analysis.
I'm responsible for the Network, Office Servers and a Sun Cluster :-). |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
An ex-colleague of mine joined the seti@home project and he told me about it.
As i am in the computer buissiness i liked the idea of letting your computer "process" when you don't need it. The things that also helped were, "the X-files", movies like "Close encounters of the third kind", "Contact" and the "discovery" channel. This does not sound very serious, but i seriously believe in something called extraterrestrial intelligence.
It would be "a waste of space" if there wasn't anything "out there". |
