Profile: Michael Nathan

Personal background
44 year old combat engineet vet. Trucker. Returned to my country of birth (too many family members are dying and I haven't had contact for way too long a time). As McArthur said, I shall return, one day... I'm proud to be a Danish American man with one leg in each country. Denmark is a staunch ally of the U.S. with troops in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and yes, Denmark has shed blood too...

My dog is my best friend, the more I learn about women, the more I love my dog;-)

In my spare time (away from 3 girlfriends, he he) I like to mess around with computers and build websites.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe it was Carl Sagan who said something like, 'With all the billions of galaxies out there, each with billions of stars, and each with many planets, it's pretty ignorant to think we're the only intelligent life form.' I like that.

If one doesn't keep an open mind and stand behind one's beliefs, then what's it all worth?

My thought on the potential of finding any clues through this project is; why not? Maybe we find nothing, that doesn't mean it isn't there. But the only guarantee of not finding any evidence 'out there' is to not look.

Seti@home does the right thing. Seti looks, and utilizes our computers for extra brain power. It's super economical, and our computers rarely utilize their full potential anyway. More people should join the analysis.

Rock on, Seti@home!
