I run seti at home because I will not believe that we are the only inteligent life in this universe. I run seti at home in hopes that one day we will get in touch with another civilization and share knowledge between the two.
I build models for a hobby but am in the process of trying to build a radio telescope system using an array of small satelite dishes mounted along the perimeter of my house using motor drives and trying to start my own seti project . A lot of work and effort, but willl be worth it in the end/
I believe in the seti at home project. I know it was important to Carl Sagan as it is to all of us. He was my inspiration to look to the stars many years ago when he first aired the Cosmos series. I still have them on tape. I only wish our government would spend more time and money in developement of peaceful space exploration instead of military build up.
