Personal background
I am just your average joe, who has always been interested in astronomy, especially astrophysics and the universes origin, and of course I would like to see grand unification. My reading of choice is Scientific American, (favorite issue: Volume 13, #1,2003 IE:The edge of physics). For lighter reading I enjoy The U.P. magazine, The Porcupine Press. Although believing in a supreme being is a bit difficult, to believe their is other intelligent life in the universe is easy, just the shear number of planets in the visible universe dictates that life must exist. Surely if subatomic particles can form into the vast quantities of life that we see just on this planet, then those same particles must have the same characteristics elsewhere. And hopefully self-awareness has also been incorporated. But if anybody actually reads these then I pose the question: Why did matter and energy come to be? What was there before it's existence. Any theories? Remember theories can only be proven wrong never right. Happy hunting.
